The name of this robot is "Burevestnik" Which is Russian for "Stormy Petrel".
A petrel is family of seabirds that is often associated with stormy weather, however this Russian word doesn't translate properly into English. The phrase is linked to revolution through the poem "The Song of the Stormy Petrel".

This robot was originally armed with a lifting arm, however weighing in at the event the team noticed the bot weight 160 kg. Shedding 60kg of weight to remain under the limit they removed both the weapon and one armour panel, replacing it with polycarbonate.

Red Alert was a Russian heavyweight robot armed with a pneumatic spike, and saw blade. It sported mecanum wheels allowing it to translate in any direction across the arena. Red Alert was armoured with very thin metal with weight reduction holes, including along the sides which are not pictured in its image. It also had bright red flashing LED strips on top.
